Prince William has a warning for anyone who speaks to Australian environmentalist Robert Irwin.

The 21-year-old appeared on a UK radio show on Tuesday (June 24) and was greeted with a voicemail from the Prince of Wales himself.

"I know you've got the fantastic Robert Irwin on the show this morning, a brilliant ambassador for the Earthshot Prize. Sorry, I can't be with you both this morning, hoping to catch up with you soon," the royal assured before telling the radio hosts that Irwin "likes to pull random terrifying animals and creatures out of his pockets while he's on anyone's show and talking to them."

"Watch your back at all times [so] that a tarantula or something doesn't suddenly pop onto your desk," the beloved royal jested.

According to People, Irwin, the son of late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, proceeded to share fun facts about the animals that he tends to at the Australia Zoo in Queensland.

Prince William was right to warn the radio hosts as it is not uncommon for Irwin to randomly bring an animal to an interview and encourage everyone to interact with it. In 2019, the wildlife enthusiast sat down with Jimmy Fallon and brought out a handful of animals, some of which startled the talk show host. Irwin shared fact after fact as Fallon cautiously petted each creature.
